Project SEAL (Social, Emotional & Academic Learning)
CFL KEEPS KIDS SAFE…
Since 2007, CFL has been providing a safe after school environment for low-income, underprivileged children in our community…an environment that encourages kids to tap into their inner creativity – whether it’s teaching them how to play guitar, build cool structures out of Legos, expressing themselves through drawing, painting, or working with clay… these hands-on experiences offer them opportunities to just be kids and “have fun”.
CFL HELPS KIDS BE SUCCESSFUL…
Additionally, CFL provides at-risk elementary students with literacy, math, science, and social tools designed to strengthen student emotional endurance and create an environment that gives them the support to achieve academic, social and emotional success.
CFL provides opportunities to receive mental health services, supporting the health and well being of families enrolled in Project SEAL – services are provided by professional Interns enrolled in a graduate level Clinical Counseling or Social Work program.
