Friné Vargas, Site Supervisor – Chelwood

Friné is entering her junior year at the University of New Mexico, majoring in Criminology with a minor in Psychology. This will be her third year with CFL, where she began as an instructor before advancing to Assistant Site Supervisor and now Site Supervisor. She was drawn to the role by a deep sense of purpose — bonding with students and their families and helping create a sense of belonging. Friné is committed to building meaningful relationships with every student and family she works with, incorporating restorative practices and the Three R’s (regulate, relate, reason) to help students manage their emotions and build trust rather than tension. Outside of work, she enjoys walking trails around the city and making art.
